From a storytelling perspective, this game begins with a mysterious tone and gradually becomes interesting. Unfortunately, on Steam, it’s currently receiving a Mostly Negative rating, and you guessed it—it’s the optimization that the developers entirely missed. The title is prone to classic UE5 engine issues such as traversal stutter, shimmering, and temporal stability problems, among others. If you’re using an RTX 4070 Ti and trying to play this game, use these settings, as they optimize performance while maintaining good visuals.

Note: Please be aware that a CPU bottleneck is a primary cause of 90% of your game’s stuttering issues. From what it seems, the rendering implementation is incredibly taxing, even at 1440p. Anything below a 13600K or a Ryzen 5 7600 will significantly hinder your gaming experience. This type of optimization is expected to be resolved shortly.

A few keynotes to consider:

  • The game starts with Frame Generation and Upscaling enabled, and it appears blurry and pixelated. Head to the settings and adjust them to your liking.
  • Even with the latest DLSS Transformer model pre-baked into the game, it doesn’t resolve shimmering, artifacting, and ghosting issues in characters.
  • While doing a side quest, the FPS temporarily drops and locks at a range of 30–35 FPS during certain fights and explosions. After a while, things return to normal. Mostly, looking around rapidly fixes this.
  • The frame time graph is at least decent. Use RTSS and monitor yours; if you’re stuttering, you’re probably getting bottlenecked on the CPU side.
  • Expect around 60–65 FPS overall in the game. 1% and 0.1% lows will drop due to classic UE5 traversal stutter.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the 4070 Ti 12GB easily handles 1440p in this game with these settings, and the VRAM usage is approximately 8–9 GB. If you lower the settings mentioned here, you can achieve higher FPS, 80+. Hopefully, the developers will fix this game in the future. Until then, play around and have fun; the story is good.
